The racing season isn’t finalized until the yearly banquet is held with a great time for all.

This year “President” John Mazzorana moved the dinner banquet to Pompei Ristorante, Hempstead NY.

A four star catering and banquet facility with the club filling themselves on a five course meal throughout the evening; from appetizers to cake it was delicious.

John Mazzorana had a table full of awards, envelopes filled with checks and as a host he managed to keep everyone’s attention with his lively comments and his never ending upbeat attitude about the club and it’s future which is bright. Although the night called for another of the weatherman’s “Super Snow Storms of the Century” which of course didn’t happen may have kept some of the members away; we still had 89 well dressed, well fed and slightly inebriated members bench racing and just having fun and looking forward to this years competition.

The preliminary 2015 schedule and rules were laid out by John Mazzorana and all seemed excited that parity was priority on the list.

Champions were awarded their respective trophies and checks. “Rockin” Rob Cherkas drew applauds and gut splitting laughs with his energetic time on the stage.

Members of the organization were humbled with awards for their efforts. Paul Woods Jr., son of “Paul Woods Sr.” would make a truly inspiring speech on behalf of his family for our beloved member, car owner and great man to everyone “Paul Woods Sr.” as his passing late last year was far too early for us all.

John Mazzorana would end the night with some of his signature “gag awards” presented to a few of the members as we shared in the “roasting” with laughs.

Thanks to the NEOPMA “Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association” for a night in Long Island NY to remember with good friends, food, wine and spirits.
