MDIR RESULTS:
This was an event that most of us won’t forget for a long while. We had 4 track records broken, numerous upsets, points championship turnovers fantastic fun and an amazing race. Here is a summary of what happened.
Royce and his team gave us an unbelievable track … Super parking, extremely hospitable, clean facilities, fantastic track prep and real on time racing. Thank You Royce and team.

The Friday Night Club Barbecue had super food, could conversation and lots of Bull S—T. Lots of fun.
Friday/Saturday Testing and Qualifying:
Number of cars in attendance was 16 but Derek Ward broke during testing. Several other cars couldn’t make it do to towing equipment issues. By the end of qualifying we had 15 cars, 11 of which went in the 5 second range and of that 7 were in the 5.7 second range. Dave Norris (5.723), Fred Scriba (5.724) and Steve King (5.739) were the top three qualifiers. Congratulations for breaking the track records.
Eliminations:
Round One had numerous upsets, Jason White struggled with engine problems, came to the line but suffered with oil leaks and was not allowed to break the beams. Vinnie Budano ran a solo 5.94. Steve King Broke a rear end (9.58) losing to Paul Atkins (6.76) Dwayne Wolfe had severe tire shake (6.18) and lost to Matt Dietsch Jr. (5.94) Fred Scriba was drifting towards the wall and had to lift (7.61) losing to Gary Hood (7.19) Kevin McCurdy made a super pass (5.76) beating Ed Burley’s tire shake (11.11) Tyler Hard consistently ran fast with his 5.83 beating Nick Montana’s electronic gremlins problems (12.91). Steve Drummond ran a 5.99 beating Andy Jensen 7.71. Dave Norris solo ran with a 5.71.
Round Two:
Dave Norris ran a blistering 5.73 beating Steve Drummond tire shake 6.3. Tyler Hard ran a 5.79 beating his team mate Kevin McCurdy 6.72 (Transmission problems) Gary Hood soloed as Matt Dietsch hurt their engine and could not make it to the line. Paul Atkins (6.76) lost to Vinnie Budano (6.06)
Round Three:
Dave Norris tire shook (8.31) and lost to Tyler Hard (5.82), Gary Hood (8.18) lost to Vinnie Budano (5.97)
Finals:
This was another close one. Tyler (5.84) nosed out Vinnie (5.89) and captured the Club 2018 Championship. Congratulations to the Hard team.
Great Racing, Super Track, Crazy Upsets, Good Food, Partying with friends, everyone is safe with no major breakage in the best country in the world. What else can you ask for???
