Hard Racing celebrates this spectacular win at Budds Creek Superchargers Showdon

(Budd’s Creek MD) The fans of Outlaw Pro Modified Drag Racing were offered up one of the most spectacular onslaughts of drag racing seen this year on the incredibly prepped surface of the Maryland International Raceway “MDIR” quarter mile. The weather gods gave us mine-shaft air, a huge number of competitors for this great annual show.

Crisp autumn air produced record after record on almost every pass. The fans cheering wildly as they listened to the Pro Mods on the back half of the ¼ mile click off 260MPH passes. No one was denied a shot at a record on this stellar weekend of racing at the legendary Budd’s Creek.

FRIDAY Test Session and Qualifying:
Test session and First Qualifying round resulted in 3 cars breaking (Jason White 51 Chevy Screw Supercharger “Engine”, Walter Zalak 69 Camaro Roots Supercharger “Engine” and Steve Drummond 2003 Mustang Twin Turbo “broken wheel”).

Fred Scriba (5.62) door to door to just beat Chuck Ulsch (5.64).
Dave Norris (5.63) hole shot beat Dean Marinis record breaking (5.57).
Tyler Hard (6.02) beat Andy Jensen’s tire shaking (7.76).
Tom Gray’s (5.70) fantastic hole shot made Kevin McCurdy (5.52) really work hard for the win, The MOV on this run was .0003 three ten thousandths at over 250MPH, I don’t know what that may have looked like at the finish line but I’m guessing inches.
