Hi All, thank you for making me PROUD at Maryland International Raceway “MDIR” Superchargers Showdown 2019.
I have always been proud of our club and what we stand for, but this past weekend of racing makes me even prouder
We had great attendance even though there was a PDRA event. Eighteen cars made it but several broke.
We had amazing spectator / fan attendance and the place was wild.
Our eighth mile times were very close and ranged from 3.68 to 4.30. Amazing when you see how fast we went in the quarter mile. Special thanks to Isaias Rojas 6.65 (new PMI import record) during eliminations.
We broke numerous tracks, national and specific records. Just to site a few …. Tyler Hard became the fastest ProCharger quarter mile car (5.62) only to be outdone by Kevin McCurdy (5.52) also establishing two new world ProCharger record.
The Scriba team broke their own fastest Nitrous quarter mile record with a 5.65 and later a 5.62 with Dean Marinis / Harry Papas team running an astounding 5.57 (three more records broken).
Andy Jensen became the fastest small block single turbo with a 5.70.
Later in the evening our newest member Dr. Arnaldo Rodriquez ran an amazing 5.55 in his Pro Mod Import (new world record).
Not to be outdone Tommy Gray ran one of his best ET’s 5.70 and Chuck Ulsch ran an Astounding 5.61 (one of the fastest roots blowers in the USA).
And finally, the King / Pilot / Miller team found their problem and clicked off a beautiful 5.60. Too much more to mention.
What a night. The crowds went crazy and so did I.
Thank you all for a wonderful night. A special thanks to Royce and his team for a great track.
