Kevin McCurdy NEOPMA Door Wars Pro Modified Drag Racing Champion Aryland International Raceway MDIR

Just about perfect weather followed the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Associations (NEOPMA) racers to the newly owned Maryland International Raceways 7th Annual Door Wars April 17th-19th. The season opener had been highly anticipated by fans in the Mid-Atlantic States as last year's record setting NEOPMA 1320ft Warriors threw down some of the most exciting passes seen prior to this 2015 opening event. The racers only got better with the off season as many came in cold but hadn't missed a beat of their earlier season performances. Add to that MDIR's incredible pavement and filled stands, this was going to be a phenomenal race; it turned out to be just that. You could say MDIR hosted a perfect weekend of 1/4 mile pro mods.

(9-8-2014) Mohnton, PA – Isaiah Rojas and the Mech-Tech Team had their 68’ Tim McAmis Pro Mod Camaro ready for action and proved it with an impressive win at the “Latin American Sports Compact III Event ” at Maple Grove Raceway this past weekend. Isaiah’s consistency was awesome, running two 5.95’s in elimination’s and a 5.94 in the final to win and set the Maple Grove track record.

(09-29-2014 Mechanicsville, MD) The Second Annual International Pro Mod Challenge was an overwhelming success with 33 pro mods in attendance, several cars running in the 5.90’s and quicker and many more running in the 6.0 range. 2012 [NEOPMA] Champion Fredy Scriba and the “Sorcerer Team” had their 63’ Pro Mod Corvette ready for action and proved it with an impressive 5.91 personal best ET and win at the second annual “International Pro Mod Challenge” at Maryland International Raceway this past weekend. Fred’s consistency was awesome, and [NEOPMA] Team USA take the Title back from Canada at the Pro Mod Challenge’s second event.

(08-19-2014) Crofton, MD – What an incredible finish to an incredible event presented by Switzer Dynamics. Dwayne Wolfe and Team Wolfe squeak out a close nail biter against Tommy “The Undertaker” Gray, 6.063 to a 6.064. It doesn’t get much closer than that. The Management at “The New Capitol Raceway” had the track ready for some fast side by side action. During the first session of Qualifying Friday night three 5.90’s lit the scoreboard. Craig Pio 5.983, Dwayne Wolfe 5.989 and Fred Scriba with a 5.998 with many 6.0’s and 6 teens.

(7-15-2014) Mohnton, PA – Fredy Scriba and Team had their 63’ "Sorcerer Vette" Pro Mod ready for action and proved it with an impressive win at the 2014 Maple Grove Super Chevy, Northeast Outlaw Pro Mods "Chevy vs. The World" event. Overcoming blistering heat all weekend, Fredy Scriba and his team put the immaculate Fulton powered Vette into the winners circle running a 6.04 @ 235 against opponent Frank Patille’s 6.56 @ 186 in his beautiful Buick in the final when it was needed to keep the "Chevy’s" on top. With the win Fredy Scriba assumes 1st place in points with the NEOPMA.
