Thank you all for coming. Thanks to Capitol for a great track. Thanks to the racers, sponsors and fans for their support and a special thanks to our officials for their great help.
Great track, great side by side racing, super-fast ETs, warm and welcoming track personnel, good spectator attendance even though it was cloudy and overcast but only had 12 Pro mods attend. Here is what went on.
Thanks to Jim Bradshaw and his people the track prep was especially good on Saturday and allowed us to lay down some superior numbers. Tyler Hard ran a 5.68 at 248 mph breaking the track record as well as establishing a new Pro Charger national quarter mile record. Dave Norris was not too far behind easy 5.76 ETs @ 256 mph, Fred Scriba fixed his traction problems and ran 5.77 @ 245 mph and Dean Marinis/Harry Pappas ran a super 5.86 @ 250 mph after missing qualifying.
Welcome Wally Zalak, Walter, The DUDE and family!!!
