(RISING SUN, MD) The weather was perfect with clear blue skies, good air and comfortable temperatures. The track was great with good parking, super track prep. The racers were fast, and I mean fast with a sixteen-car field bump at 3.699 @ 200 MPH.
I think this is one of the fastest, record breaking races. Thank you, Jim Halsey and Kathy, for a great, well pepped track.

GARY COURTIER UPDATE: Before I get into the race summary, I want to thank our Lord All Mighty for protecting Gary, a long term NEOPMA member and a special friend. Here is what happened …Gary was on his third and final qualifying round when the car took a hard turn hitting the right wall.
The crash was scary. He was rushed to the hospital where they gave him a few stitches, checked out his injuries and fortunately found to be alright. He was released on Sunday. The car did its job of protecting the driver, but repairs may be is another story / TBD. THANK YOU, JERRY BICKEL, for building a safe, fast car.
